South Africa as a whole and the Garden Route in particular is the new golfing Mecca of the world: IAGTO (the International Association of Golf Tour Operators) has voted the 'Cape Garden Route' in 2007 as the 'Golf Destination of the Year - Africa and the Middle East', and it is easy to see why:

• You can play golf all year round.  With beautiful weather all year round it may even be a better option to come during the South African winter (May – September) than to come during the busy summer period when the courses get really busy and the temperature may be too hot;

• With the exception of a few privately owned courses (which you will ‘have’ to play anyway) golf, accommodation, sightseeing and food are still very affordable;

• Nowhere in the world will you have such a variety of available combinations: whether you would like to play golf every day, or whether you would like to combine some great wine tasting, game viewing or general sightseeing, it is all possible;

• The standard of accommodation and the level of service in general are outstanding!  The people of South Africa are very welcoming towards visitors and we love to share our amazing country with you;

• Between Europe and South Africa there is hardly, if any, time difference, which practically adds a couple of days to your ‘holiday time’.  No jet lags, no getting used to a different day-and-night pattern, so your holiday starts immediately!

• The infrastructure is first-world!  South Africa is undoubtedly the most developed country in Africa, with a national road network that is well maintained.  Banks are well represented and almost all have ATM machines that are available 24 hours a day.  Major credit cards are well accepted, except for in the most rural areas, and internet café’s have sprung up all over the major tourist destinations in the last 10 years.
